Outreach

The Granby COA Outreach Program offers information and assistance in applying for benefits, programs, or services; referrals to community services and agencies, assistance and support for crises and concerns (personal, family, etc.), referrals for protective services, advocacy, and more. The Outreach Program works cooperatively with WestMass Eldercare, the Granby Housing Authority, and other service providers. Outreach Worker and SHINE (Health Insurance) Counselor Michael LaBonte is a great resource available for office and home visits. His office hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 9-3, and he can be reached by email or by calling 467-3239 ext. 7109.

The COA has a Food Pantry open M-F 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. available for eligible Granby residents. We use the same income guidelines as the Food Bank of Western Mass. Please contact us to apply to be a Pantry client.

We also participate in a monthly Brown Bag program, available for eligible Granby seniors with help from the Food Bank in Hatfield. Please contact us to apply to receive a monthly grocery bag.

If you are a resident of Granby and are running low on oil for heating, the Center can help. Please call or email us for more information.
